Day 5

I have no words for this one, guys. Joyous and heartbreaking all at the same time.

"For the Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He takes great delight in you. He quiets you with his love, He rejoices over you with singing."

The joy on the kid's faces ... yet the sorrow that surrounds them... God is close to the broken hearted and saves those that are crushed in spirit.

Thanks for the slide show... it was amazing

Oh my, it's all really too much. All of those precious children. And how joyous to see your kids with their new baby brother. Shall we take a moment to dissect his beautiful features? Hello perfect eyebrows, bright Alexander eyes, juicy lips and what's going to be a magnificent, big smile. He's just wonderful! Guess his child to caregiver ratio just took a dramatic turn too... These updates are so special and emotional on many levels. Thank you for sharing your life this way! Love you guys!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this part of your lives with us!!! I bet I checked this site at least 3 times yesterday hoping to see more pics of precious baby Abe and his precious family. I can tell that he already feels so comfortable with all of you - he trusts you because he can feel that you all love and care for him so much. Thank you also for being such loving, willing servants of God!! Isn't it wonderful that God in His grace fills us with a sense of joy and purpose when we are doing for others according to His will?!?! Well done, good and faithful servants!!!

What beautiful pictures! This video made me cry--there was even a big picture of the sweet girl we sponsor at AHOPE that we met back in February 2006!

SupermomE13 said...

Your video is beautiful, but please note that pictures of AHOPE children are NOT permitted on line... AHOPE and the ET government take the privacy of the HIV+ orphans very seriously and AHOPE asks that no pictures of children (even children being adopted by families) be put online for any reason. Please respect their privacy and their policy and remove them as soon as possible.

Erin
HIV+ adoption coordinator for AAI, and mom to two AHOPE kids

SupermomE13 said...

Sorry, I also meant to say that many of the children you posted pictures of have adoptive families in process of adopting them, and many of them do not want their children's HIV status known, so the privacy of the adoptive families is also an issue.

I certainly know you meant no harm and am glad you visited with the beautiful kids at AHOPE (and brought them gifts).

Thanks for understanding,
Erin

After a long day of thinking about all the faces in this video and sweet Abe being held by so many that love him, I am overwhelmed w/ how the Father must see us on these occasions ... I am amazed at the hope and joy I see in so many of those faces in the midst of their very hard journey ...I will lift up this country ...

Thanks Alexander Family for sharing so much w/ us ... You know you are loved !!!

Em, your face in each picture is a prayer come true for me ... I feel as if I am there ... Hold him tight and give all the children there love from those of us here ...
