great article

I saw this on a few other blogs yesterday and think it is well worth your time to read. It is a short article by Melissa Fay Greene. She also wrote the book, There is No Me Without You.

Oh my gosh! Dad and I read this article in Parade on Sunday, but neither of us connected the author to the book. It was a very fine article and tugged at our hearts. Nothing can truly prepare us for what we will see and experience, but this helped give a glimpse from a child's eyes. Read it to the kids if you haven't already.
Love,
Mom

I just read the article on Lauries blog and it made me weep.... I'm thinking of re-reading the book too. When I first read it, it was at the VERY beginning of our process.... it may bring about different thoughts and emotions the second time around! Thanks!

What a beautiful article. I pray that for our children. That they will have a burning desire to help their country.

Still feeling kinda wonky, but I'm all for that glass of wine on the porch, especially sharing long stories with you, my friend. Praying for you!

Ahh - I am in tears!

I can so relate to this article! It is true that being there changes your mind set on life, on what life is really like there, on our calling in life - really everything!

Can't wait for your entire family to go and see and experience the roots from which your kids are coming from. It will be life changing!

Love you - Kristin L.
