abe montage
Abe is doing really well. He is making progress daily as he works so hard and is getting stronger and stronger. He still has a long road ahead of him. We continue to covet your prayers. Will you please pray that his brain will continue to find new pathways, that his hands will continue to open more (they are still in the fisted position when he is working hard) and his truck will strengthen even more?? If you want to add him starting to sleep better, I wouldn't complain. :)
Moody prayed at Abe's birthday party- he thanked the Lord for the pebble in the pond, the ripple effect of Abe's life, the relationships that have been built, the lives Abe has touched, the crazy stories we hear, emails we receive-- the ripple effect. Thank you Lord for this good and perfect gift.
The enemy desires to rob, kill and destroy. He would desire that we would doubt, not see the progress, not see the Lord working through Abe, being glorified by his little life. Some days he gains a foothold on me, I think progress will never happen, get consumed with fear and worry about the future, but most of the time- I simply marvel at the gift of this child. Last week, I cried 2 days during therapy. He loves to stand. He is trying to crawl- making the right motions. He has so much strength to gain before he can actually move independently, but to see his determination, to see him try......well, it reduced me to a puddle. I couldn't have been more proud. :)
Enjoy the show- (my first attempt at one of these)
These are Moody's incredibly stylish and generous parents. I don't know how we don't have many pics of them with Abe. Mim comes to most of Abe's physical therapy sessions (along with my dad) and is a huge part of his success!! They adore their 10th grandchild.

Beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes!
What's so amazing is that you probably don't even know just how many lives Abe has touched!
Amazing-
Beautiful! You did good, mom. He is doing so well. You as a family are such a great role model to us all. My children have been touched by your and Abe's story and your faith. I feel lucky to witness His work.
So good to hear and see all of the progress precious Abe has made!
Continue to pray,
Heidi
oops- I'm at my mom's --so the above comment is actually from me, Heidi :)
oh what a great slideshow! And YES... you said it perfectly... the ripple effect already caused by your family and this child is HUGE. God is being and always will be glorified through Abe. Abe is obviously a fighter :). And, it only helps that he has awesome hair!
continuing to pray...

How precious!!! Great job Em on the video. Mateo and Marco pray God will make one more connector in Abe's brain each night. They have figured that there will be 365 new connectors this year! :) Bless you all!!
Well Em, for your first time, this montage/slide show is amazing! And so is Abe. He is such a blessing. His smiles say, "Do you know how much I love you? I love you to the moon and back!" I see Jesus in that beautiful face. We are blessed indeed to praise the Lord for this our twelfth grandchild!
Moody's prayer at the birthday party was Spirit-led and so beautifully covenantal.
With so much love,
Mom
Absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing. I think of Abe often and how many people he has touched with his precious little life.
That smile and those curls could melt any heart!!!
Praying for continued strength and sleep!!
I really appreciate the thread of continued hope and encouragement you provide in your writing, even in the midst of your own journey. Your steadfastness is encouraging. Bless you,
R

Em he is simply doing WONDERFUL! GO ABE GO! I can't wait to meet the little nugget and the rest of the fam! You are one amazing momma!! Even though I wasn't there for the prayer I felt Moody's emotions in Abe's birthday montage that was put together..you could see his heart and soul while he was praying in those pictures...
love ya
We will definitely keep praying. Abe's laugh is infectious!
Thank you so much for sharing your handsome little man and beautiful family with us. Abe is like the seed that fell on fertile soil. "This seed grew and produced a crop that was a hundred times as much as had been planted." Thank the Lord that He brought Abe to the fertile soil of Team Alexander. Oh, the ripple effects from that crop...and it's only the beginning!
Blessings,
Kristy

Abe is amazing! Thanks for sharing his story. His hard work and determination should motivate us all. God definitely put him in just the right family!
What a beautiful video...crying buckets over here!
Emily - I just started following your blog, so I'm unsure of all that your sweet Abe has ahead of him, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for your family! I have 3 kiddos with varying needs and we put in an intense year (plus) of therapy for all of them. I *know* there are hard days/weeks/months and my heart goes out to you! I pray that the Lord will help you to keep your eyes trained on Him and holding tight to His amazing promises. (Have you looked into any naturopathic sleep remedies? They worked wonders for our 3.) Sweet blessings, Amy in OR
Wonderful job! He has been growing & changing right before our very eyes. You can just see how hard he is concentrating and working. That kind of determination is so inspiring! Keep up all the good work. I feel so blessed to be able to see Abe's progress & to watch your family's blessings grow.
Love it! He's doing so well! Go Abe!!
oh sister ... i love you ... it is that simple ... you inspire me not matter how you handle the day I know you love the Lord so deeply and than inspires me !!!
