waiting for you

"Rest in the stillness of my Presence while I prepare for you this day.......Be still and know that I am God......I am always with you, so you have no reason to be afraid.....your fear often manifests itself in excessive planning" These are all words that greeted me this a.m in JC. I am honestly having a hard time being patient today.

ALL of our papers have been redone and have been sitting on my counter, ready to be overnighted back to the agency since Tuesday morning, but we don't have our updated home study.....so we wait!!! I'm getting impatient with all the waiting. I love our sw, I just am ready for all of our dossier to be back in Ethiopia so we can get in line for a court date.

Daily He is giving me opportunities to trust Him for all things. Today is no different.

Just because I like Seal and he is singing about waiting!! :)

It is SO much to do. Are you overwhelmed in the midst of your waiting or are you all prepared for a baby? I don't know why this is stressing me out (all the planning & travel). Maybe it's God's grace admist the waiting. Hope your homestudy is updated soon!! Do you have your meds locked up yet? :)

I'm too busy drooling to comment... I LOVE SEAL, always have! Great song, love the words... so true.

Ohhhh Vitoooooo, can you hear me calling????????? ;)

Other than my maiden name, I'm also related to Capone's, what a combo!! ;)

Seriously, you need a break hun... can you and Moody sneak away together for a weekend retreat?? It will do your heart and mind good.

I can't say I know the pain of the wait you're currently in with having pics. of your little angel gems, it must be agonizing. I'm sorry and wish there were something I could do other than crack queer jokes...

Thinking of ya~

Our God is Redeemer. He is up to something always as we wait. The fruit of His Spirit is love....patience is a facet of that diamond love. He is patient. Love is patient. May we learn patience as we rely on the reality that "the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us" and that His love has led you into this journey which entails waiting, resting in His love.
Sing the words to that great old hymn, "Jesus, I Am Resting, Resting".
Love you,
Mom

“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him” (Psalm 62:5)

"Learning to walk by faith and not sight is hard. It was hard for Abraham and Sarah. It is hard for all of us. God designed it that way. It is his process of mercifully weaning us off of self-sufficient delusion and letting us taste the joy of what it means to hope in him alone. Learning to patiently trust a promise from God develops our capacity to really hope in eternal life. We learn not to trust our perceptions or emotions but God’s promises"- Jon Boom

I love you and I am praying for you during this time..I thought about you as I read this article..here is the link

Oh sweet Em, waiting is for the birds but the Lord will use it for your good, for all of our good and for His glory and on the other side of this trial your faith will be stronger, deeper than you ever knew possible. Love you and maybe my letter will help speed things along.
