idol gives back
Last year we sat as a family and watched Idol Gives Back. We didn't know what to expect, but the Lord ended up using this show to further convince our hearts that we had two children in Africa that were ours. Moody and I cried a big ugly cry through most of the show! We were really thankful that the folks at Fox and many other companies decided to do something so positive! Will you please tune into this years show? The preview from last week showed two sisters from Ethiopia so I assume that there will be more footage from Ethiopia. Encourage your friends and family to watch!!
Wednesday - April 9th
6:30 p.m cst (notice it is starting 30 minutes earlier than normal)
Fox
If you are not convinced yet, watch this video from last years show with Carrie Underwood. I bet you will change your mind!! :)

I cry every time I watch that video. I tried to buy that song on I-Tunes but you can't. I think you could last year after the performance.
LOVE IT! I loved the piece they did this past week on the two sisters from Ethiopia.
I am so glad you mentioned it is earlier... Didn't know that.
Thanks for your encouragement this past weekend with the walk. It was so good to do. It always is. I miss my sweet MOM so much!
Thinking about you!
We are kickin the phonics today! Trying to do like 15 lessons to catch up! (but we still won't be caught up just yet)
I can't wait to watch it! I cry every time I see it!

Ugly Cry was going on here as well! (last year and last week!)
We just kept telling God no not yet....when we move to the states! Right Lord? Please when we get home to the states.....
Well you can see what He told us!:) And we are so glad we didn't get our way!
Praying for your kiddies!!!!
PS when you saw the sibling girls last week didn't it make it more exciting about adopting sibs?!
i watched last year also and cried cried cried ... God is so good to pierce our hearts for His children and then to give us the privilege to be their earthly parents ... I can't watch the video right now because I just know I won't be able to function the rest of the evening ... I will watch tonight ... Sweet Sister I know you are longing to bring your sweet ones home ... I love ya Gertie !!!
I love American Idol and I also have also loved the whole Idol gives back movement. Watched it last year and will watch it this year!
emily...
this is great! we, too, cried last year when we watched. we were in the midst of changing countries from china to ethiopia during that time last year, and the idol gives back shows truly confirmed our passion for africa! i am thrilled they are doing it again for a second time and hopefully it will impact even more people this year to join in and help!
I LOVE Idol gives back. Although I'm thinkin' it'll be even closer to our hearts this year! Thanks for the reminder- and loved the video too. I'd never seen that. Thanks for all the encouragement lately...it's so great how God gives us friends (who are really strangers!)to help us and pray for us. We continue to pray for you and your kiddos too!
LOVE IT...got to go steal this and post it!
Hope you all are doing well...we are still patiently waiting!!
Oh, YES, I can hardly wait for it!
Love Idol. Love Love Love this part of the show. The Carrie Underwood video makes me cry every time. We too watched last year and will again. I cried last week watching the sisters.
