we wait some more
We got a call yesterday that the courts in Ethiopia will not open October 5th as originally stated. They are closing for the next 2 weeks for training. We hope they will begin processing cases on the 12th, but do not have confirmation of that at this point.
It is so sad to me that we are getting inched back a little here and a little there, but trying to cling to what I know to be true. I am just so ready to have him here!!
Not exactly the kind of birthday gift I like. :)

I'm so sorry. Maybe the Lord is giving you a little more time to love on those at home now. Hang in there!
We have a court date on the 19th...I pray that it stays!
Hard to wait, huh.
yucky. so sorry. this is the worst part of the wait (in my opinion)... the court-date-wait. ack. so hard. praying for your heart...
Sweet Emily,
I'm soooo sorry!! This is the craziness that comes with adoption... we are praying for miracles!! You are one Brave Hearted Chick!!
Hold on:)
love ya sister
I'm sorry friend.
"All good things come to those who wait"! I don't necessarily like that saying :~/
Trust in Him...
did you pray for patience or something? ;) sorry for the delay
So sorry guys! What crummy news, but I have good news: God knows exactly the date and time!
Ugh- hang in there. God's timing is never off. Never.
Oh I am so sorry- patience is only a virtue if you don't have to wait, right? Ha ha. And - happy birthday! 38 hurt me too- but I've learned some things this year- the most important being that grey hairs and a few wrinkles are no match for a good highlighting job and a photofacial- miraculous I tell you! Just miraculous.
i'm so sorry for that news. i know you must ache for him to be home. praying for you. i've tried to email you 4 times, but something really kooky is going on. just want you to know that you and your family have been on my heart.
Praying for you friend! You have had a rough few months. Praying for your precious heart and your sweet boy in Ethiopia as well as the rest of the Alexander crew!
Ughh..... I read that about the court dates and thought that you guys probably got bumped. So sorry to hear. Yuck. Praying for a court date AS SOON as they open. :)
Bummer for both of our families! Boo! I still feel good about October. How about you?
we are praying that the courts open up right after all the training. We are so sorry about this too, because we also can't wait to meet the new little man. :) Love and praying for you!
So sorry Emily. Hopefully this icky wait will be over soon.
We are still praying for your family!!
Training!?! Training?!? What the heck? Don't they know we're waiting to get our hands on this doodle?
Praying for the 12th. He is infinitely in control, infinitely in love with you, and with him.
So sad for you!!!
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed. for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Love you and praying for y'all and Seth!
Thinking of you!!!
Ugh! Sorry Emily. God knows. He's working it all for good.
Emily...You don't know me. But, I am friends with Abby Kaufman(live right by her). Anyway, I read your blog occasionally and am with you in the waiting. We got our referral on July 23rd, and am soooooo ready to get him home. Trusting in our Mighty God today, and knowing He has this in the palm of His hand!!!! Praying for you guys!
So sad about this news but trusting in the Lord's perfect timing! Happy belated birthday! What precious gifts you received. I want a t-shirt in those colors with that verse and cross......need a fundraiser? :-)
Blessings
