be a whistleblower for peace
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9
Praying that the Lord would break your heart for the things that break His can be an often overwhelming thing!
I am thankful to have had the veil lifted from my eyes, yet those eyes are now often filled with tears, tears for the poor, the least of these, the orphans, those living in complete oppression. Gwen sent me the falling whistles story last night and it wrecked me! All I could think about the whole time were my precious Hill and Wick. At 12 and 13, would most likely have been whistleblowers, put on the frontline. Can't wrap my brain around it honestly, but can help bring awareness to the plight of these boys in the Congo.
Please take the time to watch the story on the link below.Then purchase a whistle!

Joseph Koney MUST be stopped! My heart aches for the people dying and those left behind enslaved by fear. Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know......
Mine are on order sister and we will SPEAK UP FOR THOSE W/ NO VOICES ... love that we are always on the same side ... GOD'S SIDE !!
i love ya !!!
The man who started this organization is from my area and the newspaper I work for ran an article about it. The first time I read it I sat at my desk at work and cried like a baby. It wrecked me. "Now that I have seen I am responsible" I ordered my wistle right away!
Have you seen this documentary? Its compelling! I learned about this from Katie..

When you learn of things like this, it really brings the broad scope of adoption into focus. At times I feel like adopting 1 child (which is our current situation) is like taking a single cup of water from the ocean. Can it really make a difference? But then you hear stories like this one and realize your own precious children could be caught in the middle of this horror-- and it becomes clear, adoption really does change lives. It really makes a difference!
Hey there! I wanted to talk with you about your friend at Raven and Lily. I'm doing a series of presentations at different events that will include a "shop for a cause" angle as a part of my larger focus on orphans, global poverty, etc. Could you put me in touch directly with your friend at R&L? I'd love to see how I can support her (display samples? catalogs? etc...) and promote her business.
Can you email me when you get a chance at hocks@sbcglobal.net? (:
Thanks so much!
Love, Sarah
