sick and snice
Sweet baby Abe has been sick for a week. It started with the crud and quickly headed downward. He is getting some cuddle time with his big bro. :)
At the Dr. two days in a row. Still trying to smile for the camera, but definitely not himself. :(Ok, I am officially miserable! Back at Dr who quickly sends us to Cooks to get IV fluids.
After they finally got my IV in.....cried pretty hard. Didn't like that it took a few tries to get it in.
Felt much better after several hours of fluids running through my veins. :) The Dr and nurse still never saw my trademark grin, but they still thought I was pretty cute.
We had FOUR days of no school due to the storm that blew through here. Texans tend to over react in winter weather. It doesn't help that the meteorologist are constantly using words like "treachorous"to beg you to stay home. Snow days are fun, but snice (thank you David McDurham, I stole the word) not so much. Much more ice than there is fun snow for the kids to play in. I really have to hand it to you parents that live in places that this is typical weather. Getting all of them geared up to go outside and play, then the mess they make as they come inside to warm up- it is a pain....... :)
Avery's darling little snowman. She was determined to make one and since there was more ice
We did get beautiful snow yesterday that redeemed the ice days. The sun is finally out and I expect days more to come of wiping up wet floors.:)

Hope Abe is feeling better today. Hang in there! Yeah, the snow/ice thing is a pain. I guess you won't be moving here to Wisconsin any time soon :)I doubt you would have enjoyed the -30 wind chill we had this week... Have a great weekend! Remember to cheer for the Packers tomorrow!!!!
Precious baby.... hope he is feeling better.
Yesterday was fun, but the rest of the week, not so much. And I guess there is more on the way. :/
Poor sweet Abe! Praying he feels better quickly!
I had to TOTALLY laugh when you talked about gearing them up to go outside...HUGE Amen! I also am EXTREMEMLY impressed that they have matching winter gloves/mittens. We finally started buying just the cotton ones and putting disposable dish washing gloves over them...lol. Seriously impressed at the color coordination.
BTW...my husband's favorite phrase (that we wait for each year) is ARTIC BLAST...that's when we start laughing.
You should be getting more this coming week...welcome to my world. Middle school is still out because of partial roof collapse. Hope Abe feels better. Cute snow man, Avery!
Awww.....don't like the sickies :( But hey he is still ADORABLE!!!
He he he- going into the snice- not good especially for us southerners.....
YA- it is always a thought and weight the options before getting outside. First- with those that can and will still wear a diaper- do it, cause the first thing they say as soon as the last thing is on and your shooing them to the door- "But Mom. I have to pee first". ?!!?!?!??
Sweet Abe ... I hope he recovers quickly with those fluids!
And I can hardly believe all the images of the blizzard in TX. Crazy.
We broke out the shorts this weekend in Hong Kong!
Love & Blessings,
Kim
Poor Abe man!! Hope he feels better real soon!
I wanted to tell you that I never did send you a shirt for the winner of your auction--just let me know if you still need it, kay? I got several orders from your blog post about my shirts which I GREATLY appreciate, so I wanted to make sure I do my part!
If you want to have the winner email me I can tell them what I have available. My email is cholo5@wescomm.com
Cute even while sick! And I have to agree that parenting in cold weather makes life harder! We live in one of those tundras and it is tough sometimes! (but it makes the summer all the more sweet!)
hope the trademark grin is back and abe is feeling much better.
