didn't happen

We are sad today as the uncle did not appear in court. Courts are closed now. We will wait till Oct 5 and pray that will be the day. We are trusting in His sovereign grace and perfect timing. Our hearts are broken.

So very sorry to read this! We will be praying hard between now & October for you.

Our dossier is in ET now. We are waiting on the referral to our 'waiting' daughter. The referral paperwork finally appeared, but there were a couple of errors that made it impossible for us to be given the official referral. We now are waiting for corrections...our hearts crack a bit with each delay.

I know it is so difficult to feel powerless to make things happen. I will be praying that your will find solace and strength in your faith that helps you feel emboldened to expect good things to be coming--and soon!

So sorry to hear this! Praying for your son while he waits for you and that you will pass in October when courts re-open. We had to wait during closure last month of an older child and it is a hard wait but we learned Gods timing was perfect in the end. We ended up not passing until Feb. 2009 and were able to meet another local adoptive family adopting from the same orphanage. It was exactly what we needed.

I'm so sorry to hear this news, Emily. I have read the last several posts with a burdened heart as I felt the urgency for you and your family to pass court. I can only imagine how difficult it is for your mother's heart to wait until Oct. I am humbled everytime I read your blog and see the ways God is using your family to bring glory to Him. I will be praying for your hearts during this difficult season of waiting.

We were blessed to meet Moody Thursday morning and heard about your court date issues. We prayed for you yesterday and last night. We are sorry that things didn't go as hoped. We will continue to pray for your family including the precious boy in ET.

The Lord's timing is perfect, but that doesn't make it easy to bear.

I'm so sorry to see this today. I will certainly keep you all in our thoughts. I would never want to get your hopes up for nothing, but remember, there are no "absolutes" in international adoption. Two years ago, we received our referral 2 days before court closed. We were so sad that we couldn't even be considered until after court opened again. Three weeks later (Aug 27, in the middle of courts being closed) we got the call that she was ours. They found her birth mother and were able to find a judge to hear the case while they knew how to contact her. She was in our arms on September 19 - WEEKS before court reopened. At the time we thought it was a miracle. But isn't it all in this process?!?!? We're thinking of you and hoping for your own little miracle. Everything happens for a reason, some things are understandably harder to wait for!

I am so very sorry. Delays are not easy on our hearts and I was saddened when I heard your news. I pray that you will have the strength to get through this and that your court date runs smoothly in Oct. I am so very sorry.

I am so so sorry. I, one year ago, was going through this exact same thing. We had to wait through the court closure and then the relative didn't show up. It was so hard. God was there for our precious A and us. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you and be with you and your little one during the court closure.
Hugs,

As we sat behind Brett & Shannon at church on Sunday of course my thoughts turned once again to you. Then the worship band played "Everlasting God" and as we sang
"Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
Our God, You reign forever,
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer!"
Of course, I prayed this song for you.
Then the band went right into "Mighty To Save" which will always bring tears of joy to my eyes and be known as "Abe's Song"!
I pray your strengh is rising. Know that you are loved and being prayed for in Hong Kong!
Love & Blessings,
Kim

Hey Mood and Em, God has y'all in the palm of His hand. I'm passing on a verse Taylor read to me yesterday...But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall! Malachi 4:2. I can't wait to see y'all leaping like calves!
