a new chain
Remember the chain game? Well, that one didn't turn out as planned........but Avery had the best idea today. She made a new chain to countdown the days until we head out the door for Ethiopia. We leave on August 21st. Apparently with all of the cases being pushed through before the courts close has created a little backlog at the Embassy. So instead of traveling 3 weeks after a successful court date, we leave 4 weeks post court. We will spend 2 days in Dubai and then go get Abe!! We will return on Labor Day (Sept. 1st) We can't wait!!

What a great idea, Avery! :) It's a happy, happy chain!
Some friends of ours lived in Dubai for a few years and said it is an amazing place, so I'm looking forward to hearing about that part of your trip, too. But, not as much as seeing you finally have Abe in your clan! :)
Happy chain counting! See you soon!
Yea!!! Can't wait to see him in your arms!
AWESOME! Can't believe it is all wrapping up and he will be with you before you know it! Have been reading your blog since the beginning and am so glad and very happy for your family! Words cannot express how excited our family is for your family!!!!!
WOW!!!
YAH! I love the Chain Game!
You are leaving so soon... the days are going to fly by! Especially since there is a little vacation to BU 08 in between! We can't wait to see you guys in a few!
How exciting! So are you all going?
Holy cow! I can't even believe that you are so close to baby Abe!
Woo hoo!
You'll have plenty to pack while you wait! It'll go by quick!
I remember that chain game! Oh how mad were you way back when it had to come down - now it's all a distant memory and little Abe will be staring into your eyes so soon!
Love and hugs girl!
We're counting the days too! The adoption adventure continues to make him our own. Cannot wait!
Love,
Mom

I like Avery's idea :)
Looks like we won't be seeing you guys in Ethiopia...I don't think we're going to make it through before the courts close. BUT, we will definitely come to TX to visit the whole family! Good times!
How Cool!! I'm so very excited for you!! I can't wait to see pictures of your family squeezing him!!

That is great, Emily! He is still such a babe which will be SO great for everyone. I'm glad you have dates set; so much of the unknown is now known. Praise the Lord!
