...my peace I give to you

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."
John 14:27

I am clinging to this promise as we begin a new year. I am thankful that He is the Prince of Peace and I do not need to fear. He is sovereign, and in control of every aspect of the adoption. We are thankful, and by His grace, peaceful.

Happy New Year!

If you haven't heard Crystal Lewis' "Trust Me", you must! It really ministered to me during our various adoption journeys. A big hug and kiss, my sister! Happy New Year! xoxo

Here are those lyrics:

Close your eyes
Take a step
It’s ok
I know where we’re going
Don’t fret
I’ve been before
Through these valleys
Down these long and dangerous roads
Yet dark as they seem

Trust Me
Though you can’t see
You can trust Me
The way may be steep
You can trust Me
Let me lead...trust Me

Open your eyes
But don’t let go of My hand
Let your tears give way to smiles
See the joy inside the trial
Don’t worry you’re safe with Me around
Test assured I’m on your side
I won’t let you hit the ground
But close as it seems..

It’s true that what’s in front of you
Isn’t always clear
But you must believe it in your heart
That I’m here - I’m here!
Trust Me

Love ya, Em. :)

I was going to say exactly what she said! :)
Love you and can't wait. Each day is one closer to your little ones. "Be still and KNOW I am God." Know He will dance the moment the call is placed and angels will sing at your delight in meeting those babies He has ordained for you from the beginning of time.

Sweet Em,
A blessed New Year to you and your family-- all the family-- the Ethiopian branch of the tree as well.
We delight to know we will all meet them soon, those chosen for adoption from "before the foundation of the world." We praise the Lord for His tendermercies to us all and to being about His work in His world in answer to His call.
I love you,
Mom

Happy New Year beautiful Alexander Family! Thank you for the verse, it is much needed in our time of wait and unknowns with adoption. It is always a huge joy and peace to know that there is ONE thing that will NEVER change...our Lord Jesus. Praise God for that!

It's so hard, because I'm trying NOT to comment on your blog! :) I am so excited and am constantly stalking your blog for your referral(s)! I don't want to say anything, because I'm sure people are constantly asking you, and I don't want to do that and make it more stressful. But, here I am. Doing that exact thing! :)

Really, we know that the Lord has PERFECT timing. It is such a relief that we can look to Him for peace - and he so perfectly provides it! So, I will be patiently awaiting to hear news. And, I am sooo excited for the new additions to your family! What a blessing!

Emily,

You and your family are so patient and it is so apparent that you walk the path of the lord and follow in his direction. You will be so blessed sooner than later. The lord will place his children in your home and bless your home so soon this year. I can feel it! My prayers are with your family during this difficult wait. I think the waiting process is such a strengthing time with the lord, it really tests our abilities to be patient and know that he is working through us.

God Bless,
Bethany
