Happy Abe Day!!!!
I can't believe that ONE YEAR ago today our precious boy was placed in our arms. It has been a year rich in so many ways, hard in many ways, but full of the Lord, His grace and tender mercy.
We love you Abey!!

Ok, your video brought tears to my eyes. When you saw your sweet blessing for the first time...wow.
Aaahhh...will I ever watch this and not cry my eyes out?! Precious Abey has blessed so many different people in so many different ways. I am so thankful for that beautiful boy! I can't wait to meet sweet Seth and cover him in hugs and kisses!
PS--I love seeing sweet Nanny and Bunty in this...they love their grandchildren so well. :0)
Still brings tears to my eyes. We love you all and pray for you. "Happy Abe Day," indeed!!!
Tracy
Happy Abe Day!! Amazing video!
I just happened to come across your blog after a google search on adoption and Ethiopia. It has now been a year of popping in on occasion and reading what is happening in your family's lives.
Our hearts were set on Africa for adoption. Your blog helped fix our eyes on Ethiopia. We are officially waiting for our referral.
I look forward to reading over the next year all the happenings in your lives.
Psalm 40:5 O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us.
Your plans for us are too numerous to list.
You have no equal.
If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds,
I would never come to the end of them.
Sweet Abe!! You are so loved!
Yay! I can't imagine your family without him... Love that boy SO much!
I could never ever ever ever ever ever get tired of watching that video.
I cannot even tell you how much seeing that video has changed our entire family in the last year. We have all gained a heart for orphans and for Africa. The Lord only knows the the plans he has for our family! :)
Love that Abe!
is there any smile like abe's smile???? happy abe day to your whole family...including the one waiting to get his own day!
Do you homeschool? He is too cute!
This trip will FOREVER be one of my most treasured experience in all my life! He melted my heart from the first moment I saw him! Can't believe it has been a year, since we passed through those gates and fell in love with Abey AND all at KVI! Truly, I continue to be in AWE of how God has chosen to USE Abe in all of our lives! Can't wait to meet Seth! Love to you ALL!
Whoohoo! Happy Abe day!!!
Wow. Beautiful, beautiful video and family! Your sweet girls remind me so much of mine when they saw their little brother for the first time! So sweet.
THANK you, Emily. You probably don't even understand that you have a full-fledged ministry going here! Abe is a miracle to watch!
I watched this video 100xs last year and am sure to celebrate Abe day by watching a 100 more!
Can't believe a year has gone by!
Soon it will be ------ Day a year later! Can't wait to celebrate that too!
Much love to Abe, his family and is new brother waiting to come home!
Yay for ONE YR! Your family is beautiful! Bless yall!!!
I cannot believe that it was one year ago today that we were in that beautiful country with those beautiful people picking up that beautiful child!!!!
Wow! It makes my heart ache for that place. Cannot wait to go back! I am so thankful for Abey! What a joy to watch him grow. Now, let's go get Seth!
Still get chilly bumps! And tears! Love y'all!
1 year!!!! I have always loved the video...even before I was blessed with you as close friend. Now it means even more to me. Abe is a special child and he was placed in a special family.
I still remember BALLING watching this when you came home last year :).
hooray for ONE year!!!!! already!!! amazing...
Emily - This video touches my heart! What a blessing your family is to Abe and to others as you wait on the Lord for your newest son....I praise God for your witness and for your inspiration to all of us.
Thanks for sharing these pictures. It brings back memories and I do recognize some of these kids. Our daughter is the one in the pink shirt with the jeans on the very left hand side in the big group picture (Senite). I don't know if you remember her. I don't see any of her sister, Meseret but maybe you remember her. I can't believe it has been a year. I started following your blog right about the time you got Abe. You inspire me to do something with my pictures and make a video (too bad I don't even know where to begin). Thanks again for letting us see this video again. I'll share it with my girls. They will enjoy seeing familiar faces.
I am so sorry that you couldn't get through court! I am rejoicing with you on the 1 yr anniversary with Abe! Hang in there......not much longer until your family is together!
Blessings,
Kristy
Our son is waiting for us at KVI as well. I loved watching your video. Your gotch moment was very sweet and I cried as I saw children who have come to friends of ours.
Oh! He's such a beautiful boy!!
Amazing video... the pictures capture that moment so perfectly.
Happy day indeed!!
Britney shared your blog with me because one of our boys is in your video...I cried when I saw the date because he was admitted into the orphange on Aug 22nd so these are the earliest pictures of him at KVI!!! Is there anyway you can email me any that you have??? I would appreciate it so much! His name was Yesak and his brother Yohannis. If you link to blog you can see pictures of them there!! Thank you so much!! Bethany
