reality

I think we are finally back to reality! We are settling into our routine as a family of 7. We have officially started our homeschool year, and the kids are back to all of their activities. I don't love the busy schedule, but we sure love the addition of Abe to our family.  He makes each day brighter- just look at that face! :)  He is sleeping great (getting up once for a bottle and right back down) so I physically feel so much better now.

Ethiopia is still at the forefront of our minds, and we are praying for the Lord to show us how we can serve there long-term.  More on that as we continue to process....I know I have said that a few times, but those that have traveled can back me up on this one! :)

And yes, I can back you up on the processing and the scheming on how to serve/get back to Ethiopia... feels like our true home!
Glad you're getting settled!

Absolute handsomeness!

I'm with you on the processing. It took me about 6-7 weeks to work through all of my thoughts and emotions. So glad things are calming down at the Alexander house.

I love him!! How cute!

I (just this weekend) feel like someone/something lifted in me and like "ok, I'm ready to live a regular life again"! I don't know how to explain the fog - but you know!

I'm anxious to see what the Lord has planned for you - I've been thinking alot about when our trip back will be and how we can be best used to serve people...

ps... you do have a new tutor, right???!!!! :0

I love that sweet little "rubberneck"! :) He has such a beautiful toothless smile!
I hope you can go back to ET in the future! What better way to minister than to share the love of Christ with those precious children.

Hope school goes well!

Congratulations! What a blessing! Your family is so beautiful....and even more so now with your new addition. I received the info from Clay K. while you were in Ethiopia and stayed up one night reading about your journey to this point. God is SO good!

You may not remember meeting us at Moody's 20th reunion (we weren't there for the 25th.) My husband Steve and I went to high school with Moody. Anyway, know that folks in Virginia were praying for you while you were in Ethiopia! Thank you for sharing God's glory in such a beautiful way here on your blog. You are a light!

I can only imagine what your mind must be doing on a daily basis as you think back to all those precious people you met in Ethiopia ... I am sure God will direct you on where you are to serve there ... I love looking at that sweet face ... I have thought of nothing since emailing w/ Nikki but our sweet son/daughter ... God is so good to burden us w/ such important things ...

I love you sister !!!!

I know what you mean. I traveled nearly a year ago and still think of Ethiopia everyday. I look forward to going back and making some impact.

Your son is beautiful.

I know exactly what you mean! It will never leave you! Abe is too precious for words.....you're way ahead of where I was at this time with only one bottle at night! :)
