do not worry about tomorrow!
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34
"Do not worry about tomorrow! This is not a suggestion, but a command. I divided time into days and nights, so that you would have manageable portions of life to handle. My grace is sufficient for you, but its sufficiency is for only one day at a time. When you worry about the future, you heap day upon day of troubles onto your flimsy frame. You stagger under this heavy load, which I never intended you to carry.
Throw off this oppressive burden with one quick thrust of trust. Anxious thoughts meander about and crisscross in your brain, but trusting Me brings you directly into My Presence. As you thus affirm your faith, shakles of worry fall off instantly. Enjoy My Presence continually by trusting Me at all times." (from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young)

I was convicted today of trying to figure out all the details- when we will travel, who will travel with us, where we will stay, what route we will take to get there, and this entry put my perspective back in line. I know that at the perfectly appointed time, we will pass court, travel and finally be united as a family. We are prayerful that we will pass court the first time on the 24th!!
In another example of God's providence, I got another picture of A yesterday. He was being fed a bottle by my sweet friend Fifi. I met Fifi in D.C this past December. You can read about meeting Fifi here.
Fifi just arrived in Ethiopia to visit her children and made a special trip to go meet, feed and love our sweet babe! How great is that? Thank you Lord for this sweet gift.

What a neat story!! That is just amazing! I clicked on your "fifi" story and what a great testimony of how God is working through your life. I love the White House visit. My hubby will be so impressed since he is a BIG Bush fan!! Thanks for sharing, kristi
Great scripture. So cool that you got another picture!
I can hardly stand it!! The day I get to make travel arrangements! I'm so excited for you. Love the post- SO great. And praying, too, that you pass the first time. What a sweet, sweet friend.

Love this.
What precious photos.
Thrilled the time is so near, praying for the 24th.
Can't wait to see you guys - encouraged when with you!
What a lovely story. What a wonderful new friend. We are praying for your family and A.
A good word. Thank you!
OH my, Fifi is a DEAR.
How awesome that Fifi blessed you with visiting him....he's already being loved by you all via sweet friends just ahead of youall in the process...or those visiting their children that they have to live away from?!...how unfair yet loving and unselfish is that circumstance. God is obviously blessing Fifi too with friends like the Alexanders!
Oh Em... I wish I had seen this last night. I SO BADLY needed this and finally at about 3:00am in desperate throws of prayer wide awake in bed the words TRUST ME came out loud and clear and I began to weep... Finally, after laying there awake grinding my teeth w/worry and questions for almost five hours, I fell into a deep sleep and just woke up.
You are wonderful! I've been thinking of you and next week a TON! It's so hard to let go of the angst when that little life is so, so close to coming home.
We're heading out of town for a few days today but I really want to catch up soon....
Miss you girl ~
Lor
What a sweet gift Fifi is for you right now... may the waiting be over quickly, and may it be your arms feeding little A quickly. I am SOOO EXCITED for you!
Wow...what a blessing! Can't wait for you:) By the way, what vaccines did you get?
Thank you for this word and the amazing picture God has given you of getting to really see Him orchestrating all of these events and people toward bringing A home. I know he does this all the time, we just sometimes don't get to see it so clearly!

What a precious friend Fifi is! I love that she visited and loved on your little Abe for you. What a special person she must be, Em. Wonderful!
PRAYING for you! Looking forward to hanging out with you soon and praying together in person.
XO
no words......
God is AMAZING!!!
Wow Emily -- how cool to check your blog and see Fifi there! I feel terrible that after bringing our Marin home we have only seen Fifi once. Life has been so busy with our newest and though that is a lame excuse it is the only one we have! I praise the Lord for her being back in Ethiopia with her babies and her mother and family and for her loving your little one also -- God is soooo good!!!
