sam and esther
I have seen this on several other blogs and it has taken me days to process this video. Watch it, allow your hearts to be moved to action, moved to be an advocate for orphans. It will break your heart, it did mine.

thank you for Emily,
To see this reminds me of what little I require but how much I have to give!

Wow. Speechless. And here I am venting about some dogs chasing me in my nice suburban neighborhood. Thank you for posting this today and bringing us all back to where we need to be- on our knees praying for them and asking the Lord to guide us to help others. Tears and more tears. And I can't blame that on hormones this time. :)
It does break my heart. We are all called to help. It is also such a message of hope and the strength of the human spirit. Look at that older sister...she is amazing, strong, and beautiful (inside and out). Thank you!
DANG YOU! Seanna said" ok mommy lets not watch that again. We don't need to cry" :)
This is too much. Thanks for posting it Emily. I don't know what else to say.
Crying at my desk...thank goodness no one is around my office at the moment. I'm so glad the video included the epilogue...I was nearly desperate at the end when the time was almost up & the sister had not been mentioned.
I needed this today. The road to adoption is a windy one & I sometimes am tired. This renewed me & my resolve to not only bring our daughter home from Ethiopia, but also to help those who will continue to make Africa their home.
Ohh Emily, I have only watched it once. My eyes were swollen from my alligator tears. I think it is so important (as hard as it is) to show the world REAL life.
This video is painful to watch, and there are so, so many "Sam and Esther's". Thank you for posting this, Crystal
WOW! What else can be said. Very moving and convicting
my heart is broken as a daughter of the King, mother, and woman ... i desperately want to give more to the orphans of this world ... Oh Lord use me, direct me towards the paths you have for my family ...Continue to open my eyes!
Wow...speechless and praying
I saw this several days ago too and I couldn't even comment. My words were irrelevant.
I also pondered posting it to my blog but I didn't. Thank you for posting it - it's incredible.
I have watched this once before and had swollen eyes afterwards and can't bring myself to watch it again. Thank God for the strength that the little girl is able to carry. I can't even begin to imagine. I feel so selfish about the materialistic things that I have. I did a major decluttering of my home after watching that, and still can't get over how much I have. Thanks for the reminder to keep continueing to give more of myself.
It made me cry! It is a great video and really makes you thankful.
I can't stop crying. That video is devastating!
I don't even know what to say...
That's heartbreaking. I have a hard time gathering my thoughts after watching this. So many questions start running through my head.
Thank you for sharing this.
I've watched it five times by myself. Then with each kid and my sweet husband. How do you explain this horror to a six year old? You can't but it sure does work on their little hearts to want to do more. Olivia promptly went to school and told her entire class about the starving kids in Africa and how we need to help. Humbled. Honored to go and love on some sweet Ethiopian babes.
OMG; I want so much to bring those babies home :(; as soon as I'm able to, I'd like to help - but I guess all I can do now is pray for them, which I will do without ceasing
My name is Kathi, as you can see. I'm a friend of Gwen Oatsvall. I haven't visited your blog in a very long time, so I went back a couple of months and was so sorry to hear about Abe...but I know the Lord will restore his body
thank you for posting that! it so needs to be before our eyes all the time! praying the Lord's army is moved to mercy and action with a fresh fire!
that big sister is so beautiful!!!
Dear Emily,
Truly unbelievable to those of us who have been raised in middle class USA that there are people who are living in those conditions! It makes me even more aware of how much I have and how thankful I should be each and every day - that I have a home to live in, that my family has clothes to wear, that we have a bathtub with warm running water, that we have a variety of foods to eat. I am truly, truly blessed!!!

I saw this on Kellys and am going to post it too....it left me speechless all day yesterday and that is hard to do :) What an awesome reminder that i can never do enough to help...so much more needs to be done...Such a powerful video, kristi
Yes, we will let our hearts be moved to action!
wow. Very very touching, and a great reminder of how much we take for granted. wow.
What a moving video!! Each life so important!! And what sweet love a big sister can give all on her own! Thanks for sharing such a moving video!!!!
