A rookie bloggers inaugural post
Wow- our first experience with a blog! Moody and I were laughing about how not very long ago we didn't have a clue what a "blog" was and we certainly didn't know how to create one! So here goes nothing......as many of you know, the Lord started working on our hearts months ago with regards to adoption. We feel so blessed to have four healthy kids and I know that "absolutely not" probably came out of my mouth to many of you when asked- "are you going to have anymore?"!! I should have learned my lesson with my "I will never homeschool" remarks-- the Lord often has a plan far different from our own.
Through a series of events (thank you Kis), books (Same Kind of Different as Me), hours spent reading other peoples blogs, and many prayers- we have decided to follow the Lords call to Ethiopia to adopt two precious children. We are finishing up our home study and working on our dossier (a lot of paperwork). We are working with Wide Horizons for Children and have been very happy so far.
We would appreciate your prayers as we embark on this adventure. We don't have the answer to many questions but we do know that we have a gracious, kind and loving heavenly Father that delights when His children follow Him-- even to uncharted territory. We wait expectantly for all that He has for us along this journey and we would welcome you to come along for the ride!
Moody was working on some FAQ's-- I just might get him to post them:) We are blessed beyond what we can imagine or deserve. Soli deo gloria-- God alone be the glory!

Not a bad post for a rookie. :) Excited to read about the journey.
Yay! The blog looks great!!
Welcome to a wonderful support bloggocenter(yeah, made that up) for adoption! It has been a wonderful connection to Ethiopia as you watch other families go through the same thing.
Congratulations and peace on your journey!

Looks great! So excited about the journey to Africa that the Lord has put us on! Who would have thought not long ago that we would enter the world of the blog?!? We are looking forward to keeping up with your posts and to seeing if the Lord may have some cousins from Ethiopia who will come home as well?
