Abe is 4!!!
Hard to believe that Abe is 4 today. This kid changed it all. The Lord used him to rock our world in the best possible way. Our lives are better because of him, because He saw fit to gift our team this treasure. I simply can't wait to see how Abe continues to impact lives for Jesus. Happy birthday buddy. We love you.
First picture we saw of Abe
His beautiful first mom, saying good-bye
Brotherly love
Happy guy
That precious smile
Back in Ethiopia

life is pretty great
super hero

I'm pretty cute
No longer the baby! Big brother now. :)
As an adoptive mom, it is impossible to celebrate this day without thinking of the sacrificial love of his birth mom. She is a beautiful woman. She loves Abe fiercely. You can see the reunion she had with him here. It is always hard to post. It is raw. It tells his story but prayerfully it shows a picture of adoption. Adoption is His heart. So it really is His story after all. Dekanesh, as you reflect on this day 4 years ago, we pray you know this little guy is loved dearly. He continues to draw people back to Ethiopia to love and serve there. May you know that your sacrificially loving him enough (even when you didn't know the full extent of the care he would need) ultimately is a gift to many. Abe is being used to extend the Kingdom. Soli Deo Gloria!

Specials boy! I remember seeing his referral picture and thinking he was a beautiful baby! He has turned into a beautiful big boy! Love him.
This was so beautiful. We have watched it over and over again!
Happy Birthday Abe! He really HAS changed the world...he definitely rocked our world and has made a difference in our lives! Abe's adoption was an inspiration for our family to adopt...Thanks so much for sharing Abe with all of us!
Happy Birthday, sweet Abe. Much love from the Beams to Team Alexander.
That video takes me right back there...every time I watch it. An overwhelming afternoon with Demekech I'll never forget!! Happy Birthday little ripple-maker!!! I love you Abey!!!
Oh Emily. I have seen this video so many times before, but now, from the perspective of meeting him in person, seeing your beautiful family, together, "in action" and knowing how your heart for God and Ethiopia and adoption has changed so many lives, it has me in new waves of tears. I don't know that I can ever express my appreciation for all you have done for me, simply through your love of your family and Jesus. xoxo and happy, happy birthday, sweet Abey!
Tears over here; what a powerful video!!
Abe and Ruby have such similar stories. I wish we could sit down over coffee sometime and share our hearts. Your story is a blessing to me! Thanks for your honesty and for letting God use your story to further his kingdom.

Oh my goodness! For some reason I just saw this post. You know how much we love your little man around here. Blessings to him and a belated Happy Birthday! Jack will have his MRI this week. We covet your prayers.
Absolutely beautiful video. What a testament to the power of our Lord. Abe is a miracle boy and is changing countless lives! Happy birthday, Abe!!!
