abe update
Little buddy is working SO hard. Making such great progress these past few weeks. He is just making us so proud. His speech therapist had him pick out a picture from 3 cards this morning and he got 22 out of 25!! Yahoo. He missed dump truck (not sure we have talked about those much with him), school bus (we home school??) and swimming (but as soon as we said "pool" he went striaght for the card!) We were all cheering!
Keep up the great work Abey- we love you so much!

P.S. Oh Em. You cannot imagine the tears I am crying. First for Abe and his progress. For the example you set for us all. For God choosing you. And also for the walk down memory lane. That video brings it all back for me. Every hour of every therapy. Four days a week. For 26 months. I wish I had done a better job documenting our journey w/ Sam in pictures so others could witness God's healing hand. Thank you for allowing us to follow along. Watching a miracle unfold is a blessing to us all. Much love, Kim
Yay for Abe and praise Jesus for His never-ending faithfulness! What a precious testimony of God's hand in Abe's healing. I can completely relate (with what we dealt with during the years following our daughter's severe prematurity at 27 weeks and our littlest son's severe communication isses that we are still dealing with) that the joy you feel as a parent when they finally accomplish the "impossible" little steps is just the most amazing and humbling feeling....because you know it is ALL the Lord and His grace! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video!

He is adorable!! His progress is truly AMAZING!!! It is so wonderful to see how many people in blog world care for your little man!! Keep it up, Abe!!
great work, buddy!!!!
oh YOU and the always making me cry videos!!!!! must not watch any more!! ;) I was yelling at my computer "Go ABe, you can do it!!" when he was woking on crawling and I found myself all tensed up trying to help him! ha, thanks for letting complete strangers care about your little boy through your blog! It also made me feel a lot like it was a picture of my walk with Jesus most days-I want to do it, but it is hard and I struggle and hang my head but keep plugging away and He hangs right by me giving me little, and sometimes big, nudges to help me keep going when I want to just flop down....what a picture Abe is of us and the Father!!
okay seriously, I don't even know what to do with that video!! give Abey some big ole southern sugars from his Auntie SuzanneI CANNOT WAIT to see you next week! whoop!
Amazing Abe! God is doing big things in your life little buddy. You are HIS vessel, and your smile shows a little of Jesus every time you flash it. :)
Exactly when does he stop smiling?!
SO love this! Hooray for Abe! XO
I was watching some videos on line and I thought of your family. I'm not sure if you have ever heard of Joni Eareckson Tada but she is "an advocate for disabled persons worldwide."

Here is a link to the two videos that made me think of your family.
http://www.joniandfriendstv.org/
If you go under "Episodes and Offers" very near the bottom is an episode entitled "Emily's World" it is the amazing story of all that a young woman with CP has accomplished.
Also, just under that is an episode entitled "A Full House" in which the parents talk about many things including how their typical children are being positioned to be used by God through caring for their disabled siblings.
I pray that you and your family will be blessed by these videos.
P.S. Check out the episode about Nick Vujicic if you haven't heard of him before. What an amazing story.
God bless you!
wow - ugly cry, happy tears... and while watching (me and the kids) Tessa started wiping my tears...
love you sweet pea! lor
you inspire me ABE ... your strength and joy are something we should all strive to have each day in our life to point glory to the Father ...
Emily, i really don't have words for you sister ... you bless me everyday as a mother and as a sister !!! i am so honored God brought you in my life !!
can't wait to hug your neck on Wednesday !!
Emily... I am so inspired by you... I know this has not been an easy journey... but just look at your precious boy! I can't imagine what would have happened to him if you and Moody had not been faithful and answered God's call to adopt him.
God be praised for His faithfulness to the fatherless! Bless you for your unwavering LOVE!
Much love to you sweet sister! You rock! and way to go, Abe!!!
Way to go Abe!! I can't even imagine how many lives your sweet boy has touched. His smile alone melts my heart. Keep up the good work Abe!!
Oh, I am in tears over this wonderful boy! I love him! You guys are doing such a great job with him. Praise the Lord.
